I'm Reconsidering My Career As a Porn Star

Is there anyone out there over the age of thirteen who does not know that unprotected sex puts a person at risk of contracting STDs? If there is, you need to go back and take a seventh-grade health class before you read the rest of this entry.

Okay, now that we're all on the same page: I would never wish HIV on anyone. It's a terrible terrible virus, and the sooner a cure is found, the better.

Knowing that you are in danger of losing your life, but continuing to work every day in the porn industry, is ridiculous. Yes, I realize that the standard testing procedure for adult film actors and actresses is once every three weeks. But if you contract the HIV virus the day after you get tested, then you continue to spread it until that next test. Depending on the nature of the videos you do during that time, you could be passing the virus along to dozens of people. The focus in the porn industry is on quantity, not quality, and it only takes about a day to film a movie. Condom porn, as I have been told, "sucks," and clearly is not an industry standard.

Bottom line: You don't know where that penis, vagina, hand, mouth, tongue, or even dildo has been. You don't know if the third guy in your gang bang was shooting up with dirty needles yesterday. You don't know if the guy you're blowing picked up a hooker with rotten crotch last night. You just don't know. So don't play dumb, and don't act stupid. And that goes for everyone.
